Comp Cams BSR Max-Lift 1.7 Ratio Shaft Rockers for Aftermarket LS3 Heads - .675" Lift Max

CCA-1980-16
COMP Cams Max-Lift BSR Shaft Rocker Systems are now available for aftermarket LS3-style cylinder heads with revised valve geometry. This bolt-in shaft rocker setup mounts all eight rockers on a single shaft to improve valvetrain stiffness, stability, and valve control. Tri-layer bushings replace needle bearings to reduce deflection and wear, while a plasma-nitride finish improves durability and reduces friction. The added rigidity transfers more cam lift directly to the valves, allowing the camshaft to perform more efficiently and support more aggressive cam profiles up to .675" valve lift.

Note: Compatible with RHS Pro Elite LS3, Edelbrock Victor CNC LS3, Trick Flow 255 LS3, AFR Mongoose LS3 and Mast Black Label LS3 heads.

Description

Features and Benefits
Increase Valve Train Stiffness - Reduced deflection of the entire system by tying all 8 Rocker arms together on a single shaft while also improving valve train dynamics. Reduced deflection also by using a thin, tri-layer bushing instead of needle bearings which deflect under high load. Increasing the valve train stiffness will make the same Camshaft perform like a slightly larger Camshaft as more of the lobe lift is transferred directly to the valve instead of being absorbed by deflection in the cylinder head and single bolt Rocker mounting strategy. The COMP LS Bushed Rocker Shaft System will also allow the use of a more aggressive Camshaft before the valve spring goes out of control.

Improved Durability - The COMP LS Bushed Rocker Shaft System will perform reliably for a longer period of time than the single stock needle bearing trunnion by eliminating the high Hertz loading that is present in needle bearing trunnions and increasing rigidity of the valve train system. Deflection of the Rocker arms is reduced, especially in LS3 and LS7 Applications with offset intake Rockers. The Rocker pad remains parallel to valve tip reducing wear on both components.

Increased Valve Lift - By increasing the valve train stiffness, the COMP LS Bushed Rocker Shaft System allows the stock Rocker to achieve higher lift potential than the stock single bolt Rocker trunnion. The bushed shaft ensures that the Rocker pad and valve tip remain parallel through the contact sweep by decreasing deflection of the stock single bolt pedestal. This allows the Rocker to sweep to higher lift values before running off the valve tip.
