BTR Gen V L86/L87 6.2L Truck 225 Camshaft with Valve Train Upgrade & DOD/AFM/DFM Delete Kit - 78+ HP Gain
When used in L86 truck applications , the versatile BTR Gen V 225 camshaft provides excellent low and mid range torque along with exceptional power up to redline. Whether your truck is used for work, mild towing or as a weekend cruiser, this cam will provide great all around power along with a noticeable idle that grabs your attention. For our LT1 customers, the added induction really helps the Gen V 225 cam shine in the horsepower department. Once again this mild cam makes excellent top end horsepower, to the tune of over 600 hp!
Note: L86 and L87 use different DOD plugs use the options to select your engine type, this kit has many product options please make sure you see the blue "choose product options" button to configure your system and avoid any delays.
*Notice, custom tuning is required after installation to properly configure the camshaft and disable the AFM/DOD system. (For tuning use the provided VVT Target Map in picture 3)
Important Information: This kit has many options to add or remove parts use the blue "choose product options" button. To install these parts a new crankshaft bolt is required. Camshaft VVT bolt is highly recommended as it can only be reused a few times and many techs like to always install new ones. ARP bolts/studs are reusable not torque-to-field.
*For those who want short travel lifters for 6500+ rpm applications, you need to read the instructions on the PN: Morel-7790 page. Using the documents tab as they are very specific. Pushrod size will not be the stock 7.850" size you must measure.

Description
A lash cap is commonly used on the high pressure fuel pump when using aftermarket camshafts with 32-38% fuel lobes which feature smaller base circle of the fuel lobe the lashcap is used to make up the slack. The lash cap is only required when using L83/L84/L86/L87/LT1 high pressure fuel pump if you are using the higher flowing LT4 pump a lash cap is not required in most applications but measuring is still required.
When choosing a lash cap it is not a simple one fits all situation, measuring is required to prevent the fuel pump from bottoming out and causing damage. These are the commonly used lash-cap options PN: 633-1 for .80" thick lash cap or PN: 12596509 for .60" thick lash cap. *in rare situations a lash cap is not needed, when using an aftermarket valley cover a different size lash cap maybe required.
