BTR Gen V 220 Naturally Aspirated Camshaft For LT1/L86/L83 Engines W/ VVT Limiter - 75+ HP Gain
BTR’s 220 cam is the largest recommended option for L83 engines, delivering over 500 hp with basic bolt-ons while retaining factory VVT for strong low-end torque and explosive top-end power. It requires a DOD delete and piston fly-cutting on 5.3L applications, but offers significant gains across the entire powerband. In L86 truck applications, the BTR Gen V 220 cam delivers strong low- and mid-range torque with impressive power to redline. Ideal for work, light towing, or weekend cruising, it offers well-rounded performance with a noticeable, attention-grabbing idle. For LT1 applications, the Gen V 220 cam delivers over 600 hp while maintaining smooth power, drivability, and excellent top-end performance—perfect for both daily use and weekend fun.

**This camshaft does not come without a small sacrifice to the 5.3L crowd, as you must fly-cut your pistons to allow for this grind to properly fit. However, a DOD delete is also necessary, which means those cylinder heads have to be removed regardless. One extra small step to provide enormous gains across the powerband.
