Replace your Ford Mustang GT’s / 302 restrictive stock throttle body with our top of the line unit and get your 5.0L the air it’s lacking. This upgrade will greatly improve your throttle response and horsepower. Accufab has developed this to be the largest diameter throttle body to fit the stock OEM Mustang 5.0L intake manifold and Boss 302 intake manifold. It measures 84.5mm and flows 32% more air than the OEM throttle body and more than any other new 5.0 throttle body on the market. The shafts are sealed and air leak resistant up to 100psi. (These are the same features you might be familiar with on our F90, F105 and U125 throttle bodies).

This is the largest diameter throttle body to fit the stock OEM Mustang Boss 302 intake manifold only. It measures 84.5mm and flows 32% more air flow than the OEM throttle body, and more than any other new 5.0 throttle body on the market.

Notes: The inlet opening on the throttle body measures 4.00-inches (OD) in diameter, and will require a step-hose from 4.00-inches reduced down to 3.50-inches (OD), if you plan to use the OEM air cleaner inlet tube. Most aftermarket “cold air kits” measure 4.00-inches (OD) and should fit perfectly.

Mechanical Race Version Part # F84.5M: 2026 Update! We recently redesigned the mechanical 84.5mm throttle body.  The linkage has 3 threaded positions for the ball stud to be located.  The shafts are sealed and air link resistant up to 100psi. This is for custom applications only! Fits the Boss 302 only! Measures 84.5mm at the blade and the inlet opening is 4 inches. The TPS required is the 86-93 Ford 5.0 Mustang pigtail style. Aftermarket ECU and gas pedal required.
