Owners of 01-04 Lightning trucks looking for an extra 30 HP gain without overdriving the blower or cutting up the exhaust system now have the option of purchasing our new Lightning power package for these vehicles. Very similar to the popular 50HP package that we sell for the 99-00 Lightning models, this new kit comes with an all-new 95mm air meter assembly with K&N filter, mounting bracket and all necessary hardware.

The 01-04 Lightning vehicles were given a higher horsepower rating for these years (versus the 99-00 models) due to the fact that Ford revised the computer program to deliver a very lean 13:1 air/fuel ratio from the factory. The 99-00 Lightnings came from the factory with a much richer 11:1 air/fuel ratio. The ideal air/fuel ratio for a supercharged vehicle is typically 12.25:1, depending on the timing level and octane quality of the fuel.
